Charlotte Will, who goes by the pseudonym ANAMORPH, is a Berlin-based filmmaker and visual artist. Her creative practice examines cultural phenomena through a forensic lens, dissecting layers of reality to extract a deeper understanding of the underlying forces that govern and shape us. Often using a narrative style of storytelling, she captures the realism of contemporary life, relationships, and society, alluding to the tensions, connections, and contradictions that reside in the folds of our social fabric.

Currently, her work delves into the diary film and home movie genres, focusing on capturing fragments of everyday life and reshaping them into evocative narratives. This process involves collecting fleeting moments – atmospheric studies in photography and film – that meditate on identity, memory, and place.  ANAMORPH’s fascination lies in capturing the immersive and ephemeral nature of human connection, whether in the pulsating energy of a dance floor or in the nostalgia of a recurring journey.

Her experimental, narrative-driven approach has led to collaborations with artists such as Boris Acket, focusing on immersive installations, and her work has been featured in exhibitions across Berlin. These projects emphasize documenting the sensory and transformative experiences that define our relationships with people and places.

Through a combination of personal observation and cultural inquiry, her work offers a compelling perspective on the intersections of memory, identity, and our emotional landscapes.

 
Will holds a Bachelor Degree of Visual Communication from the University of Arts and Design in Hanover, Germany, which she completed in July 2022 with her short documentary ‘>>Embodiment‍<<’ (2022). Since October 2023, she has been completing her Master of Social Science and Economics at the University of Arts, Berlin.
